Funeral services for Louise Foster Flynt, age 83, of Senoia, Georgia will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at 1:00 pm (Central DST) from Forest Home Christian Church with Rev. Stoney Halsey officiating and Butch Jones delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church (2808 County Road 91, Roanoke) for two hours prior to services beginning at 11:00 am (Central DST) on Tuesday.
Mrs. Flynt left to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27th at Doctors Hospice in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Survivors include one daughter, Pebble Towe of Senoia, Ga.; one son, Clayton Eugene Upchurch of Louisiana; five sisters, Sarah Mickle of LaGrange, Ruby Pendergrass of Christian City, Ga., Neva Talley of LaGrange, Ga., Ann Nelson of Fayetteville, Ga., and Helen Hazel of LaGrange; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Butch Jones, Ben Bowles, Charles Knowles, Jeff Towe, Jesus Jimenez and Clayton Upchurch.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Flynt was born September 9, 1929, daughter of J. W. and Mattie Lou Barfield Foster. She was a member of Forest Home Christian Church and a self-employed hairdresser of 50 years. She had resided in Fort Payne, Cedar Bluff and spent 20+ years in Gaylesville, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, D. R. Flynt; one brother, James Foster; and a grandson, Clayton Eugene Upchurch Jr.
