Obituary of Johnny Faron Hill

Funeral services for Johnny Faron Hill, age 54, of Roanoke, will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the funeral home. Mr. Hill died Sunday, May 12, 2013. Pallbearers will be Dustin Hill, Johnny Shelnutt, David Taft, Jimmy Seago, Paul Cook, and Don Smith. Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Glory Brown Hill of Roanoke; one daughter, Christy Dawn Hill of Woodland; one son, Christopher Faron Hill of Woodland; his mother, Willardean Hill of Rock Mills; two sisters, Wanda Robin Eubanks of Panama City and Eris Lynn Napier of Rock Mills; three brothers, Carl Ray Hill of Franklin, GA, Ferlin Wayne Hill and Ronald Merle Hill both of Rock Mills; four grandchildren. A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Hill was born March 16, 1959, son of Rufus Leon and Willardean Lawson Hill. He was a member of Prospect Congregational Methodist Church and had worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Hill, and one sister, Beverly Anita Williams.
