Obituary of Harold Edgar Arrington

Funeral services for Harold Edgar Arrington, age 72, of Roanoke, formerly of Heard County, GA, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Rev. Russell DeLee and Rev. David Glass. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2013, at the funeral home. Mr. Arrington died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Arrington is survived by his wife, Myrtice Norris Arrington of Roanoke; two daughters, Teresa Griffin (husband, Ronnie) and Cynthia Strickland both of Franklin; two sons, Harry Arrington and Dean Arrington both of Franklin; one step-daughter, Darlene Wood of Roanoke; three step-sons, James Owens (wife, Linda) of Heflin, Glenn Owens of Panama City, Ladon Owens (wife, Brenda) of Roanoke; one sister, Leigh Codner (husband, Bob) of Franklin ; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Arrington was born July 4, 1940, son of Edgar and Katherine Young Arrington. He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and had been self-employed as a home construction carpenter.
