Obituary of Alma Ballard Daniel

Funeral services for Alma Ballard Daniel, age 93, of Roanoke, will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 3rd. Mrs. Daniel died Monday, July 1, 2013, at Traylor Nursing Center. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Margaret Daniel of Guntersville; one granddaughter, Julie Ann Daniel McCulley of Guntersville; two great-grandchildren, Maley Christopher McCulley and Ann Daniel McCulley both of Guntersville; one sister, Adelle Nobbley of Newell; and one brother, Robert Ballard of Bowdon;. Pallbearers will be Mike Nobbley, Jeff Morrow, Phillip Daniel, Steve Daniel, Ryan Hill, and Wayne Ussery. Mrs. Daniel was born December 8, 1919, daughter of Hubert and Posey Cook Ballard. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had been employed as a weaver with Handley Mills and Playtex. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Daniel and one son, Maley Daniel.
