Funeral services for Bobby Jack Amason, age 68, of Thomaston, Georgia, will be held Monday, January 25, 2010, at 1:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wes Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow at Hill View East Cemetery in LaGrange.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon on Monday.
Mr. Amason died Friday, January 2010, at Upton Hospital in Thomaston, Georgia.
Survivors include one son, Robert Olinger (formerly Bobby Dean and Bobby Jack Amason, Jr.) of Orlando, Fla.; a step-daughter, Donna Sue Pike of Pine Mountain, Ga.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one aunt and several cousins.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Amason was born July 15, 1941, and was a former resident of LaGrange and Franklin, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mauhee Amason and his wife, Joann Amason.
