Funeral services for Ethridge Cleburn Forman, Jr., age 90, of Roanoke, will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 11:00 am from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phillip Gore and Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating. Burial will follow at Wadley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30th.
Mr. Forman died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Traylor Nursing Center.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Ponder Forman of Roanoke; one daughter, Marilyn Deese of Adamsville; one sister, Dorothy Moore of Stone Mountain, GA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Gary Hall, David Wilkins, Bob Bugg, Bo Sutton, Dale Knight, and Rick Bailey.
Mr. Forman was born June 24, 1923, son of Ethridge Cleburn Forman, Sr., and Audrea Vickers Forman. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Community Church and had been employed in textile with West Point Shaumit. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, James Arthur Forman.
