Graveside services for Betty Jo Ramsey, age 61, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11:00 AM from High Pine Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Steve Dean officiating. Burial will immediately follow with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 15, 2013.
Ms. Ramsey died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include her daughter, Betsy (husband, Brian) Hodo Ray of Alexander City; companion, Larry Driver of Roanoke; one sister, Rita (husband, David) Denton of Roanoke; two brothers, Allen Ramsey of Roanoke and Chet (wife, Beth) Ramsey of Tallassee; two step-grandchildren; five nephews and two nieces.
Pallbearers will be Chase Ramsey, Adam Ramsey, Aaron Ramsey, Austin Ramsey, Coby Smith, and Eric Howe. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Huddleston and David Ramsey.
A Randolph County native, Ms. Ramsey was born on May 20, 1952, the daughter of Allen Lebert and Reba June Garrett Ramsey. She was a member of High Pine Baptist Church, was employed as a CPA with Denton & Associates, and was a member of the Alabama Society of CPAs. Ms. Ramsey was preceded in death by her parents; one sister-in-law, Barbara Ramsey; and one nephew, David Ramsey.
