Obituary of Frank Junior Smith

Funeral services for Frank Junior Smith, age 82, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013, at 2:00 from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel East Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Mr. Smith passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Survivors include three daughters, Diane Smith of Roanoke, Brenda Watson of Wadley, Vickie Trimble (Roger) of Waverly; one son, Steve Smith (Linda) of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one brother, Seaborn Smith (Bartha) of LaGrange; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy Watson, Adam Watson, Bailey Watson, Patrick Trimble, Michael Goss, Troy Melton, Shane Adams, and Steven Adams. A Randolph County native, Mr. Smith was born on January 6, 1931, the son of Josh Newt David Smith and Minnie Mae Smith. He attended the Church of God and had been employed as a maintenance worker with Candlewick. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie Jeanette Smith; three brothers, Mutt Smith, Roy Smith, and Johnny Smith; two sisters, Ruby Brown and Lura Moman; one grandson, William Smith; one granddaughter, Carla Jones.
