Obituary of Bobby Dean Arrington

Funeral services for Bobby Dean Arrington, age 59, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Forest Home Christian Church with Rev. Stoney Halsey officiating. Burial will follow at Pike Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Mr. Arrington will lie in state on Sunday at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 1:00 pm. Mr. Arrington died on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at East Alabama Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Gail Hornsby Arrington of Roanoke; one daughter, Tracy Michelle Arrington Lusk (Barry) of Daytona, FL; one son, Bobby Deanon Arrington; one step-daughter, Heather Paige Johanningmeier of LaGrange; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Irene Adamson (Tommy) and Debra Grace Cook (Barry) both of Roanoke; two brothers, Richard Terry Arrington and Harold Clement Arrington (Donna) both of Roanoke. Pallbearers will be Darden Arrington, Vayden Pate, Barry Cook, Kenny Hood, Kerry Miles, and Mike Arrington. A Randolph County native, Mr. Arrington was born on October 29, 1954, son of Hermis Clement and Faris Bethany Pike Arrington. He was a member of Forest Home Christian Church and had been employed as an electrician with IBEW in Industrial Construction. Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tommy Ray Arrington; one sister, Bethaney Ann Arrington; one niece, Lori Beth Adamson.
