Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Michael Bennett, of Byron, GA, formerly of Roanoke, age 60, will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 11:00 am from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rayford Johnson officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2010.

Mr. Bennett died February 2, 2010 at his son's residence in Byron, GA.

Survivors include his mother, Okerlene Bennett of Roanoke; one son, Terry (wife Amy) Bennett of Byron, GA; one brother, Jerry D. Bennett of Roanoke; five grandchildren.

Mr. Bennett was born December 25, 1949, the son of Harvey and Okerlene Vowell Bennett. He had worked as a civil engineer for the U. S. Army Corp of Engineers, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Terry
