Obituary of Rodney Perry

Funeral services for Dr. Rodney Calvin Perry, age 66, of Wadley will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014, at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phil Gore and Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating. Burial will follow at Wadley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Dr. Perry passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Judy Perry of Wadley; two daughters, Ronda (Michael) Perry Duncan of Simpsonville, SC, and Wendy (Kirby) Perry Lane of Spring Hill, TN; three grandchildren, Mikala Ann Duncan, Kevin Lane, and Cady Lane; one sister, Susan Perry Wilkins of Wadley; and one brother, Joel Perry of Wadley. Pallbearers will be Jack Brand, Elliot Cotney, Michael Duncan, Kirby Lane, Jerry Thomas, and Dan Gibson. A Wadley native, Dr. Perry was born on April 6, 1947, the son of Calvin Cooledge and Opal Langley Perry. He was a member of Beulah Christian Church in Wadley n. Dr. Perry was a Wadley High School, Auburn University, and Kansas City School of Medical and Bio Sciences graduate. He was a member of the Alabama Medical Association, an Auburn Pharmacy Alumna, and a member of the American Family Practice Association. Dr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents.
