Obituary of Jerry Wyatt Norred

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Wyatt Norred, of Roanoke, age 67, will be held 11:00 am, Sunday, February 14, 2010, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Revs. Stanley Yarbrough, Greg Norred and Mike Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 to 11:00 am Sunday, February 14, 2010. Mr. Norred died Friday, February 12, 2010, at his home. Survivors include his wife, Patrician Crockett Norred of Roanoke; one son, Nick (wife Cindy) Norred of Roanoke; nephew, Danny Townley of Enterprise; large host of cousins. Pallbearers will be Richard Crockett, Donald Jacks, Harvey Townley, Ambrus Norred, Marvin Fuller, Roger Arnett and Larry Crozier. Mr. Norred was born June 12, 1942, the son of E. J. and Minnie Lee Ward Norred. He was a member of Bethany Lime Congregational Christian Church and retired after 42 years in the grocery business. Mr. Norred was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Norred Townley; one nephew, Wayne Townley. Flowers will be accepted, donations to Country Side Caring Hospice, or Alzheimer Association.
