Obituary of Carolyn Webb

Funeral services for Carolyn Webb, age 66, of Roanoke, will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 3:00 pm at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Foster, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28th. Mrs. Webb died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at her home. Survivors include her husband, Luther "Sarge" Webb of Roanoke; two daughters, Connie Banks Brown (husband, Shad) of Ranburne and Jennifer Webb Dowdy (husband, Robert) of Roanoke; one son, Tim Banks (wife, Wendi) of Pine Mountain, GA; six grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Burks and Billy Ray Burks. Pallbearers will be Jake Banks, Billy Watson, Ken Burks, Mike Burks, Riley Earl, and George East. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Dowdy, Seth Brown, Shad Brown, Ted Bennett, and Rusty Guizar. Mrs. Webb was born May 5, 1948, in Randolph County, the daughter of Paul and Mozelle Sheppard Burks. She was a member of Rock Mills Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Elaine Webb; her parents, Paul and Mozelle Burks; one grandson, Ryder Banks; one sister, Betty Joyce White; two brothers, Lawrence Burks and Leroy Burks.
