Obituary of Ronald Thomas Simons

Funeral services for Ronald Thomas Simons, age 60, of Roanoke, will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 11th. Mr. Simons died Monday, June 9, 2014, at his home. Survivors include his wife, Susan Hardy of Roanoke; one daughter, Rhonda Simons of Roanoke; his father, John Thomas Simons; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Debbie Fowler (husband, Bill) of Atlanta; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy and Teresa Hardy of Newnan; his first wife, Shelia Simons of Roanoke. Pallbearers will be Larry Waldrep, Dale LaGrange, Travis Branham, and Matthew McCard. Mr. Simons was born May 27, 1954, the son of John Thomas and Jo Ann William Simons. He was Baptist by faith and had been employed as an electrician with Muse Electric in Newnan, Georgia. Mr. Simons was preceded in death by his mother; twin brother, Donald Simons; grandmother, Cumi Simons.
