Obituary of Brenda Coursey Watts

Funeral services for Brenda Coursey Watts, age 54, of Roanoke, will be held Monday, June 16, 2014, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Dean and Rev. Patricia Sims officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2:00 pm on Monday. Mrs. Watts died Thursday, June 12, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Randolph County. Survivors include her husband, James Leonard Watts, Sr. of Roanoke; two daughters, Jamie Lynn Lance of Roanoke (fiancé, Jeff Gurley of Talladega) and Crystal Self (husband, Jacob) of LaGrange, Ga.; one son, Jimmy Watts (wife, Jessica) of Wedowee; three sisters, Rebecca Koch of Rock Hill, SC, Shelia Lovelace of Jacksonville, FL and Wanda Peavy of Roanoke; one brother, Jimmy Coursey of Jacksonville, FL; and 15 grandchildren. A Roanoke resident for most of her life, Mrs. Watts was born December 12, 1959, in Atlanta, the daughter of James Brown Coursey and Evelyn Potter Coursey. She was a supervisor at Inflations Systems in LaGrange, Georgia. Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her parents.
