Graveside services for Adilene Cobb Cottle, age 84, of Roanoke, will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Conger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:30 pm on Sunday. Mrs. Cottle died Friday, June 13, 2014 at Magnolia Manor in Columbus. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Supan (husband, Lavern) of West Point; two grandchildren, Mandee Rollins of Columbus and Eddie Supan of Phenix City; four great-grandchildren, Billy Rollins, Hannah Rollins, Ally Supan, and Mady Supan; two sisters, Shelby Treadwell of Roanoke and Marie Rashford of Anniston; four brothers, Cecil Cobb of Roanoke, Harold Cobb of LaGrange, Boe Cobb and Pete Cobb both of Anniston; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mark Wortham, Drek Cobb, Kenneth Treadwell, David Treadwell, Lance Smith, and Terry Cobb. Honorary pallbearers will be Russ Cobb and Billy Rollins. A Roanoke resident for most of her life, Mrs. Cottle was born December 2, 1929, in Etowah County, the daughter of Freeman and Daisy "Pearl" Mason Cobb. She was Baptist by faith had been employed as a seamstress with Palm Beach. Mrs. Cottle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Melvin "Pete" Cottle; sister, Vera Cobb; brother, Houston Cobb. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Camp Kudzu (5885 Glenridge Drive, Suite 160, Atlanta, GA 30328), Shriners Organization (Shriners International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607), or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (PO Box 100, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142).
