Funeral services for Mazie Beaird Perry, age 74, of Roanoke, will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 1:00 pm at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15th.
Mrs. Perry died Monday, July 14, 2014.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Perry Justice (husband, Billy) of Roanoke; two sons, Jeff Perry, Sr. (wife, Stephanie) and Blake Perry (wife, Mary) both of Roanoke; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Myra Whitten Burke of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons: Blake Perry, Jeff Perry, Sr., Billy Justice, Jeff Perry, Jr., Matthew Perry, Daniel Justice, Steven Perry, and Jim Pike. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters: Amber Perry and Kaitlyn Justice.
Mrs. Perry was born October 31, 1939, the daughter of Doc Thomas and Nettie Jane Sharpe Beaird. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and had been employed as weaver with Amoco Fabrics. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oran J. Perry (Junior).; her parents; two sisters, Mary Bosarge and Ruby Yarbrough; one brother, Wallace Lee Crenshaw.
