OBITUARY
Funeral services for Mr. Huey Butler, of Opelika, formerly of Roanoke, age 83, will be held Friday, February 26, 2010, at 1:00 pm from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. D. Bearden officiating. Burial to follow in Cedarwood Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, February 26, 2010.
Mr. Butler died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat (husband Billy) Belcher of Dadeville, Lisa (husband Rodney) Allen of Winter Garden, FL; one son, Ronnie (wife Debra) Butler of Opelika; one sister, Dura Taylor of Wedowee; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Mr. Butler was born July 9, 1926, the son of John L. and Lydia Skinner Butler. He had worked as a beamer operator for Handley Mills and Lantuck. Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Horace Butler; one sister, Bert Ussery.
