Funeral services for Hazel Jones Williams, age 79, of Roanoke, will be held Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Foster and Rev. Dexter Etchison officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 27th.

Mrs. Williams died Friday, February 26, 2010, at Traylor Nursing Home in Roanoke.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Wilson (husband, Curtis) of Roanoke; one son, Sammy Williams (wife, Jane) of Roanoke; two sisters, Faye Mapp of Newnan, Ga. and Pearlie Davis of Valley; one brother, Ray Jones of LaGrange, Ga.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Williams was born May 10, 1930, at Wedowee, daughter of Sam and Minnie Bolt Jones. She was a member of Roanoke Church of the Nazarene and had been employed with Traylor Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Williams, Jr. and a son, Larry Dan Williams.
