Graveside services for Barney L. Jones, age 78, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at 2:00 PM from New Hope Christian Cemetery with Burt Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17.
Mr. Jones passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include: two sisters, Ava Naomi Jones Vestuto of Roanoke and Neva Clyde Rogers of Fayetteville, GA; and three brothers, Bernard Franklin Jones of the Phillipines, Burt Delano Jones of Roanoke and Basil Britton Jones of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Jones' nephews.
A Ellaville, Georgia native, Mr. Jones was born on February 15, 1936, the son of Oscar Roy and Vera Clyde Womack Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents.
