OBITUARY

Funeral services for Mr. Dennis Wayne Mitchell, of Roanoke, age 52, will be held Friday, March 5, 2010, at 2:00 pm from the Quattlebaum Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Sheppard and Rev. Jody Overton officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2010.

Mr. Mitchell died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his home.

Survivors include one son, Adam Calhoun of Roanoke; two brothers, Timmy (wife Misty) Mitchell of Roanoke, Danny (wife LeJuan) Mitchell of Birmingham; one niece, Mallory Mitchell; two nephews, Allen and Tanner Mitchell; girlfriend, Dawn Norton of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Tony Freeman, David Harper, Phil Smith, Riley Harcrow, Tim Harper and Ricky Crenshaw. Honorary pallbearers, David Baldwin, Joey Fincher, Denis Arnett, J. R. Morris and Steve Calhoun.

Mr. Mitchell was born May 15, 1957, the son of K. C. and Katherine Culbertson Mitchell. He had worked for the City of Roanoke as a back hoe operator. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Amy Mitchell; one brother, Kenny Mitchell.
