Walter Lee Patterson Sr., age 68, of Woodland, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Beckwood Manor Nursing Home in Anniston.
The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 22nd.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Terrell Patterson of Woodland; three sons, Walter Lee Patterson, Jr. (Walt) of Woodland, Timothy Dewayne Patterson of LaGrange, GA and John Lucas Patterson of Roanoke; three daughters, Brenda Sue Daniel of Woodland, Tabitha Hudgins of Newell and April Patterson, also of Woodland; one sister, Sue Payne of Heflin; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Calhoun County native, Mr. Patterson was born August 2, 1946, son of Murray Norman and Lula Mae Cotton Patterson. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and had worked with a pulpwood crew. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gene Patterson and Charlie Patterson; two sisters, Betty Jean Smith and Barbara Clark.
