Funeral services for Laura Louise Perry Mitchum, age 76, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Bonner and Pastor MinChan Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2015.
Mrs. Mitchum passed away Friday, January 02, 2015, at Traylor's Nursing Home.
Survivors include: one daughter, Cathie Mitchum (Larry Swader) of Roanoke; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Mitchum (wife, Debbie) of Wadley and Perry Mitchum (wife, Andrea) of LaGrange, GA; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jo Reeves of Lanett, Frances Stephens of Shawment, and Doneall Peters of Lanett.
A Roanoke native, Mrs. Mitchum was born on August 21, 1938, the daughter of Alvin and Mary Jim Owens Perry. She was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Mitchum was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin Travis Mitchum; and four brothers, Virlie Perry, Harold Perry, Bruce Perry, and John Perry.
Memorials may be floral or donations to Mt. Zion Christian Church.
