Obituary of William Eugene Hill

Funeral services for William Eugene Hill, age 60, of Roanoke, will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at 11:00 am from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. _______ officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 16th. Mr. Hill died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Randolph Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Becky Jane Hill of Roanoke; a daughter, Kim (Juan) Vivanco of Roanoke; a son, Heath (Celeste) Hill of Chelsea; his mother, Selma Hill of Roanoke; two sisters, Susan Hill of Marietta, Ga. and Kathy (Phillip) Nixon of Canton; a brother, Jackie Hill of Wedowee; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chance Hill, Clint Daniel, Jeremy Hill, Donnie Anthony, Phillip Nixon, Tom Dawkins, Jakob Nixon and Kenneth Pike. A lifelong Roanoke resident, Mr. Hill was born July 26, 1949, son of Doug and Lois Selma Alsabrook Hill. He was Baptist by faith and had been employed with West Point Foundry. He was preceded in death by his father, Doug Hill; a brother, Poet Hill; and twin grandsons. Memorials may be floral or the family suggests contributions to Trinity Baptist Church Life Center (3501 US Hwy 431, Roanoke, AL 36274).
