Obituary of Susan Allen

OBITUARY Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Renee North Allen, of Roanoke, age 48, will be held Friday, May 28, 2010, at 2:00 pm, from High Pine Baptist Church with Rev. Richie Farrow officiating. Mrs. Allen will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 27, 2010. Mrs. Allen died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Brookwood Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Allen of Roanoke; one daughter, Caitlin Allen of Roanoke; two sons, Clay and Gresham Allen both of Roanoke; one sister, Nancy (husband Mike) McGough of Pike Rd, AL; one brother, Roger North (Brenda Wood) of Montgomery, AL; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her cousins and nephews. Mrs. Allen was born January 21, 1962, the daughter of William Earl and Dannie Gamble North. Mrs. Allen was a faithful member of High Pine Baptist Church, graduate of Carver High School and John Patterson Technical School. She was a loving wife and mother, hair stylist and assisted her husband in the family businesses. Mrs. Allen was also a member of the Randolph County Relay for Life. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judy Ann North.
