Funeral services for Teri Jo Mitchum Tennant, age 55, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 4:00 PM from Cornerstone Church with Rev. Tim Whaley and Rev. Scott Whaley officiating. Mrs. Tennant will lie in state at the church for two hours prior to services beginning on Saturday.
Mrs. Tennant passed away Friday, February 17, 2017, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Tennant; one son, Will Tennant; two sisters, Jean Webb of Roanoke and Marsha Darden of Opelika; three nieces, Aleigha Daniel, Shanna Green, and Carrie Lane Darden; one nephew, Mitch Darden; three great-nephews, Jackson Green, Riley Green, and Hayden Daniel; and one great-niece, Hollie Kate Green.
Pallbearers will be John Webb, Jim Darden, Clint Daniel, Cal Green, Jackson Green, Riley Green, Hayden Daniel, and Chad Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be the TC Boys, Anthony Foster, Todd Webb, Scott Whaley, Brandon Turner, Benji Whaley, Luke Burns, Will McMurray, Tray Foster, Brett Mitchell, Donnie Grant, Clay Tinney, David Cofield, Billy Lane, James Bailey, Brett Bailey, Jason Gosdin, Chuck Gosdin, Jerry Mitchum, Jon Taylor, Ethan Corbett, and Mitch Darden.
A lifelong Roanoke resident, Mrs. Tennant was born in Chambers County, Alabama, on January 4, 1962, the daughter of Charles Lee and Doris Virginia Borders Mitchum. She was a member of Cornerstone Church and worked as a paralegal for the Law Offices of John Tinney for 34 years. Mrs. Tennant was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Virginia Mitchum and one son, Charlie Tennant.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Cornerstone Church.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
