Obituary of Lottie "Beth" Puckett
Funeral services for Lottie “Beth” Puckett, age 64, of Roanoke, will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 11:00 AM from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Emery and Rev. Terry Holder officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Mrs. Puckett will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services beginning on Wednesday.
Mrs. Puckett passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Hospice Atlanta.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Puckett of Roanoke; two daughters, Becky Ussery (husband, Jason) and Bridget McKee (husband, Chris), both of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Jacob Ussery, Jared Ussery, Mae Ussery, Lilly-Kate McKee, and Evan McKee; five sisters, Brenda Hurst of Wedowee, AL, Rhonda Wilson of Roanoke, AL, Mary Jane McKinney of Hampton, GA, Debbie Greene of Fayetteville, GA, and Glenda Callahan of Dunwoody, GA; and eight brothers, Kenneth Mapp of Five Points, AL, Gene Mapp of Tuscaloosa, AL, Michael Toland of Hugley, AL, Charles Toland of Temple, GA, Larry Wilson of Roanoke, AL, Steve Watts of Hoover, AL, Thomas Watts of Stockbridge, GA, and Nathan Watts of Hampton, GA; and her step-father, Harold Watts.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Ussery, Jared Ussery, Jason Ussery, Chris McKee, Jonathan Head and Shannon Mapp.
A Randolph County resident for many years, Mrs. Puckett was born on August 26, 1952, the daughter of Emory O’Neal and Jewel Vowell Mapp Watts. She was affiliated with Welcome Home Baptist Church and Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and had worked as a loan officer. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother, Thelma Mapp.
