Oh Doreen... You were my best friend, my confidant and pal from junior high, through high school and beyond. You have been there with me and for me through thick and thin. You have been with me in every important phase of my life. You truly helped make me who I am. You taught me to be the strong person I am. You didn’t let anything or anyone stand in your way... or mine! You mother henned over ALL of us. You sure looked out for me and my once quieter, shy self. And I know you would’ve fought for me. We were so different yet so very much the same. I loved you dearly, and I always really knew you loved me. Through the years when we talked or got together, we always picked up right where we left off. I am still so shocked, so devastated that you are gone. The hole you left will never be filled, and I, like so many, will never be the same. Thank you for always being you and for being the very best friend I ever had. I love you forever. Oh how I miss you!!!

Sweet sweet family words are so hard to find at such a time especially with one so young . Doreen was such a joy to all she come in contact with, her friends list was enormous and everyone spoke of nothing but love and admiration of her—-this speaks volumes of the type of woman she was.
I will always remember the smile , the twinkle in her eyes when she was talking to someone, even someone she didn’t even know—- she would know them before they left— she was just that way—- she just loved people , loved helping them, giving of herself to them just because she cared! She had the gift !!! She will be missed !!!!!!! Fly High Doreen!!!!

My sweet Doreen, we will truly miss you and will see you again.
The Lord must have needed a skilled scrapbooker and someone to keep the office supplies stocked for all eternity! Love you!

Doreen, our senior class of '77 will never be the same without your presence here on earth ... you brought to us a constant smile with your wonderful humor, a feeling of being loved with your compassion you showed towards everyone in our class, and a sense of belonging with your total acceptance of us all despite our many failings. You touched each of us in ways you cannot even imagine ... and you will always remain in our hearts, sweet friend.
