I have many memories of good times with Bones , one of my all time favorites was when we were at the backwaters, at the blue boat, we were washing each others hair. I lathered his hair and gave him a mohawk that he happily sported. The group of us , Kim Potts, Paula W., Rusty Nix, Tammy Calhoun and probably a few Hester boys thrown in could make anything into a great memory. Bones had a huge heart an endless smile, and the gift of making everyone around him feel special.
I loved the video, seeing how happy and fulfilling his life was.
Blessing to all of the family who loved him. Carolyn, you will be in my thoughts during this time.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
