Obituary of Phillip "Bones" McCarley

Phillip “Bones” McCarley, age 62, of Roanoke passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gail McCarley of Roanoke; one daughter, Stacy Dutrow (Dwayne) of Thurmont, MD; one son, Chad Galloway (Katie) of Wedowee; two grandchildren, Kyle Dutrow and Rylee Kate Galloway; two sisters, Carolyn McCarley of Newnan, GA, and Melissa McCarley of Anniston; and one brother, George McCarley of Panama City Beach, FL.
A longtime Roanoke resident, Mr. McCarley was born on April 7, 1957, the son of Earl Robertson and Almage Barnes McCarley. He was a 1975 Handley High School graduate and worked as a truck driver for Chris Potts Logging. Mr. McCarley loved Alabama football, and he loved his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Phillip Matthew Galloway; and a brother, Richard McCarley.
The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM On Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
