To Peggy and Family!
My family and myself were sorry to hear of Richard's passing. It is sad to know that a pandemic has to wipe out so many innocent people. May God Bless you and your family and keep you safe. I always thought a great deal of him.

Peggy, Joel, and Family, I was heartbroken to hear of the passing of Richard. He was genuinely a good and godly man and such a dear friend to our family. He did so much for the community and for Handley Avenue Church of God. He will certainly be missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers!

I loved Richard like a brother. I had the Honor and privilege of serving side by side with Richard in the Alabama House of Representatives for 14 years. Richard was my best friend, we teamed up in support of family values, and promoting God and country. Richard has left a large footprint for others to follow. I will deeply miss him

As so many, my heart is broken. Richard was always such a special part of our lives growing up and in our adult lives. He and Peggy are loved so much, especially by us Parrish girls.

Peggy, Joel and Family; you are in my thoughts and prayers. The love and friendship you have shown my family; especially Granny and Paw Paw, will never be forgotten. May you find comfort and peace during this difficult time.

I now and have always considered Richard a friend. We worked on several projects together. Although we may not have always agreed on stuff, I always thought we both had the community at heart. A kind soul with a wife's undying support, even when she wished he would "scale back". I will sorely miss him and our comorodery and debate. You just don't grow people like Richard on trees. I love you Richard. You will be sorely missed
