Obituary of Steve Cole

A private memorial service for Steve Cole, age 73, of Roanoke, AL, will be held at a later date.   

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Mr. Cole passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.    

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Parmer Cole of Roanoke; daughter, Stephanie Shumpert (Jim) of Anchorage, AK; son, Pace Cole (Kandy) of Oneonta, AL; three grandchildren, Charles Oakley Shumpert, Madison Alea Cole, and Emma Grace Cole; and brother, Tyre Cole of Roanoke, AL;

Mr. Cole was born in Milltown, Alabama, on September 27, 1947, the son of Evan and Sally Kate Abercrombie Cole. He was a member of Community Life Church and was a contractor for Cole Construction.  Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Cole.
