Potsy was hilarious to be around! My teenage years with him working with my dad ( Terry Minix ) was priceless! The Potsy quotes I have are plentiful. One thing most don’t know about him was that he was an expert on civil war history. God bless all family and friends!

Sweetest person ever from my growing up teenage years...Still remember that shy smile of his back then..My daddy(Mr.C of Big Chic) was very fond of Laran and his sisters..
So sorry for the family's loss.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I would run into Laran over the years at Walmart or the dollar tree in Roanoke. He seems like the same ole Laran. I have a couple of pictures from 2003 ,I'll share. He was one of a kind that's for sure but if you got to know him you couldn't help but love him and just listening to him talk could put a smile on your face. May you rest in peace Laran.

I knew Laran when we were all young and hung out at Amigos. He was good natured and had a cool trans-am. I am praying for the family.
