Melba was one of a kind! There was never a dull moment with our favorite spitfire resident! She was also kind and wanted to make sure others were cared for as well. I miss her already. Praying for you all and love y’all too.

I was so sorry to hear the Passing of My Friend, Ms. Melba.
I met Her several years ago when I was asked to go & sit
with Her from Compassus Hospice...Se was a Fun Loving
Young Lady...I just enjoyed being in Her presence...I will
miss Her so much, most of all, Her visits...
Family, You all have My Deepest Sympathy.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
