One of my most memorable moments of Tom was when he and Linda would come to Knight Enloe and he would share his love and knowledge of bees and beekeeping with the students. He was a great supporter of education.

My favorite memory of Tom is when he decided he would learn to paint. It was quite amazing. He bought the supplies and watches Bob Ross and bam, he was very talented.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
