OBITUARY

Funeral services for Tom Lathinghouse, age 77, of Roanoke, will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ryan Conger officiating.   

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on Thursday.

Mr. Lathinghouse passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Linda Stephens Lathinghouse of Roanoke; two sons, Terrance Lathinghouse (Jennifer) of Wadley and Stephen Mark Lathinghouse of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Mark Lathinghouse (Victoria), Julieann Lathinghouse, and Jacob Lathinghouse (Madison); four great-grandchildren, Serena, Olivia, Summer, and Maverick; one sister, Valeria Hepner (Tom) of South Carolina; one brother, Albert Leroy Lathinghouse (Wanda) of Lake City, FL; sister-in-law, Sharon Lathinghouse of Bradenton, FL.

A former resident of Lake City, Florida, Mr. Lathinghouse was born November 23, 1947, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, the son of Raleigh Thomas “R. T.” Lathinghouse, Sr. and Earnestine Romine Lathinghouse.  He was a leadman at Occidental-Phosphate Company and was a Deacon at Welcome Home Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his yard, and beekeeping. Mr. Lathinghouse was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley LePriol; brother, Robert Wayne Lathinghouse.
