Obituary of Barbara Ann Ramsey

Funeral services for Barbara Ann Ramsey, age 58, of Roanoke, will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 11:00 am from Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Burns and Rev. Frank Sledge officiating. Burial will follow at High Pine Baptist Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 3rd. Mrs. Ramsey died Wednesday, May 1st, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Allen Ramsey; one daughter, Amy Howe (husband, Eric) of Opelika; granddaughter, Megan Howe of Opelika; her parents, O.D. and Rose Boyd of Cadiz, KY; and one brother, Danny Boyd of Cadiz, KY. Pallbearers will be Chet Ramsey, Greg Cottle, Tracy Belyeu, Byron Morrison, Cody Cottle, and Tyler Worthey. A Randolph County resident for most of her life, Mrs. Ramsey was born November 2, 1954, daughter of O.D. and Rose Boyd. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she served as pianist and a member of the finance committee. She was employed as a secretary with Quattlebaum and Benefield Funeral Homes.
